Receptionist and Customer Service Associate
 
D&D Commodities, a business unit of Central Garden and Pet, is a leader in the bird feeding industry. We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist and Customer Service Associate at our Stephen, MN location. Shift Details: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
 
Location: Stephen, MN
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform general clerical tasks including data entry, filing, scanning, shredding, photocopying, and operating general office equipment.
  • Manage and maintain office and plant supply orders, handle the cash box, and restock the pop machine.
  • Handle grocery runs and mail duties such as picking up, sorting, delivering mail, and maintaining the postage machine.
  • Greet visitors, answer and direct phone calls, and assisting customers for Wild Delight, Better Bird, and L’Avian products.
  • Organize and file key documents such as BOLs, packing slips, inbound deliveries, and Walmart shipment records.
  • Assist with company events, including planning, set-up, take-down, and managing D&D gear inventory and distribution.
  • Attend safety meetings, organize fire and tornado drills, and document safety activities.
  • Provide support to other departments (i.e., Sales, Human Resources, Production) to ensure smooth business operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a professional approach to handling people, tasks, and responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a state of alertness and safety.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Prior office experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar software preferred.
  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Primarily office environment, working in a sedentary position with frequent use of PC and phone.

POSITION INFORMATION
  • This position starts at $17.00+ but the final offer is ultimately based on skills and expereince.
